Peer Support
Ako Panuku promotes peer support through peer mentoring and support opportunities.
This system works by supporting each other by learning and sharing expertise with an experienced colleague from another school. Often these relationships are initiated through Ako Panuku workshops.
If you wish to take part in the peer support network, you must register with Ako Panuku.
These resources are intended as guides and templates and are designed to ensure that you get the most benefit out of peer support. All guides and templates may be customised to suit your requirements.
Record your mutual agreement about the objectives that you would like to achieve together through peer support.
Use this template to review what you have learnt in a recent workshop.
This template can assist you when planning changes to your teaching practice.
These guidelines will help you to improve your professional learning through conversation before, during and after peer observations.
By outlining your observation needs, your observer will be able to provide you with the information you need to analyse your own teaching practices.
